World VR Forum 2017 opens doors for VR projects

13.01.2017 – The organising committee of the World VR Forum invites creators of virtual- and augmented reality content to submit their projects. Selected projects will be showcased before the audience and the most outstanding project will be awarded.

World VR Forum (WVRF) is a Swiss non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the virtual, augmented and mixed reality industries. WVRF gathers more than 3,000 international attendees from across the globe and brings together various Virtual Reality (VR) or Augmented Reality (AR) content from creative, technical as well as research fields. The event will take place from 11th  to 14th May 2017 at Crans-Montana located in the Swiss Alps.

Festival and call for application
WVRF festival acts as a springboard for any VR content creators. It aims to gather brand new virtual and augmented reality projects from all over the world in order to fulfil the mission of establishing VR as a true art form and to raise awareness of the public. Individuals who want to showcase their work will receive a custom designed space and support from the WVRF committee for the installations.

The festival also gives VR content creators the opportunity to win prizes. VR content creators are henceforth invited to submit their projects. All the submitted projects will be evaluated by experts worldwide. Selected projects will get direct feedback from the public an allocated budget (financial support) for customizing their environment. The best project will be awarded with a prize at the end of the event. Registration closes on 17.03.2017.

Conference: understanding the VR/AR world
The WVRF conference opens up a debate to address contemporary topics related to technology, culture, philosophy and education, which are affected by VR/AR. It concerns itself with confronting ideas, understanding the current and future directions of creations and finding solutions to general challenges faced by broadcasters, developers and cultural industries.

Market and exhibition
Given the large audience from all over the world, the WVRF is a suitable place to meet and share with like-minded people whilst exploring the current and future trends in VR market. Participants in the content market will have the chance to present their work to investors as well as digitally in the WVRF digital library. Registration is required inorder to be part of the conntent market.
The market also gives room to individuals who desire to present their work to the audience at the exhibitions. This will enable them to increase th7eir exposure. Registration to reserve a table is now open and the submissions closes on 31.03.2017.
