02.5.2019 #SwissTech: 21 Swiss startups to showcase technology and innovation at Asia’s largest tech expo

Switzerland will be making its second debut at Asia’s largest tech and digital expo, the Consumer Electronics Show Asia (CES ASIA) in Shanghai from 11 to 13 June 2019. Organized by swissnex China in partnership with Presence Switzerland and institutional partners, the #SwissTech Pavilion will serve as a testament to Switzerland’s leading position as a center of technology and innovation.

Shanghai, 1st May 2019 – CES ASIA, the largest consumer electronics show in Asia with over 46,000 visitors and 500 exhibiting companies will be held from 11 to 13 June 2019 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). #SwissTech Pavilion at CES ASIA 2019 follows up on its 2018 success, where a total of 4 innovation awards were claimed by the 7 participating startups. Joined this year by 21 leading Swiss startups in the fields of drone technology, robotics, artificial intelligence, IoT and beyond, the pavilion is certainly poised to take recognition of Swiss excellence in tech and innovation to the next level.

The 3-day participation of the Swiss startup team at CES ASIA will also feature a pitching night and networking reception on June 12 with prospective investors and industry experts, providing the startups with the unique opportunity to connect with a network of potential local partners to facilitate their market entry ambitions in the world’s fastest growing innovation market.

“CES has been very good for us because we have been working on our China strategy and we have been able to put the product in the hands of a lot of potential partners and, surprisingly, investors,” said Gauthier Dubruel, Business Director Ubisim and participant of CES ASIA 2018 Swiss Pavilion. “We are grateful not only for the invitation of swissnex to join CES but also for the activities on the side which have allowed us to connect with others from the startup ecosystem, such as investors and other startups.”

The 300 squared meters #SwissTech Pavilion is primely located within the Startup Park, where the budding startups’ market-ready innovations for tomorrow will be prominently displayed for potential clients, partners and investors. A stage lies at the heart of the pavilion, where the products will be showcased every day along with pitch decks from the startups.

CES ASIA 2019 #SwissTech Pavilion is organized by swissnex China, and supported by EPFL, ETH Zurich, Greater Zurich Area, innovaud, Presence Switzerland, Swisscom, Switzerland Innovation and venturelab.
