Applied Data Analysis
Saturday, January 27th, 2018 – 9:00 – 13:00 – in the atrium of building BC
On the sideline of the Applied Machine Learning Days’ event, don’t miss the opportunity to assist a poster session where more than 300 students will present their projects on a variety of data science topics on Saturday 27th January 2018 from 9 AM to 1 PM in the atrium of Building BC on EPFL Campus. Entry is free, no registration required.
The Applied Data Analysis (ADA) class at EPFL takes students on a “breadth first” tour of data science, teaching them the chops for conducting a full-fledged data analysis project from start to finish. This year, it has gathered more than 300 Master’s students from all of EPFL’s schools. The culmination of a semester’s work is a group project. Students will present their projects at a colorful poster session with 100 posters on a broad variety of topics :
- social good (this year’s overall theme),
- social media,
- and much more a complete list here: https://dlab.epfl.ch/teaching/fall2017/cs401/reports/
The poster session will feature a series of spotlight talks (10:45 – 11:15), where 10 select groups will compete for sponsored awards.
The event will showcase the great talent of EPFL’s Master’s students. All 300 students will be at the poster session, and everyone from EPFL and beyond is welcome to join us for the event and engage with the students to discuss their work as well as future opportunities.
