07.09.2017 – On 7 December in Neuchâtel, the Neode incubator will reward the most innovative project in the field of medical technologies with a cash amount of CHF 50,000.-. The incubator thus encourages the emergence and development of projects in a sector with high potential for growth and synergies with the regional industrial fabric.
An internationally renowned Jury
Under the chairmanship of Professor Afksendiyos Kalangos, a leading specialist in cardiac surgery, a panel of doctors, industrialists and intellectual property experts will examine applications received until 6 October 2017. Discover the Jury members here.
A VIP event on 7 December 2017
The three nominees will introduce themselves at the ceremony on 7 December 2017 in Neuchâtel before an audience of representatives of the economic, industrial, academic and political circles. Several well-known speakers – including the keynote, Mr Jean-Roger Cattin, Plant Manager Spine, Medos International Sàrl (Johnson & Johnson Campus Neuchâtel) – will speak on this occasion. The winner of the 2017 Prize will be nominated at the end of the event and will receive a check of CHF 50,000.- to create his company in the Neode incubator.
Coat-X: discover the success of the last winner!
Winner of the 2015 edition of the Neode Prize, Andreas Hogg has since created and set up his start-up – Coat-X SA – within the incubator. The young company is developing an innovative encapsulation solution for medical devices based on a unique ultrafine, hermetic and biocompatible multilayer technology. The prize is expected to enable Coat-X to become the “first provider of ultra-thin waterproof layers for parts with high added value” The Company currently employs 6 people and intend to grow in the coming months.
On 7 December, Andreas Hogg will retrace the path taken by the Neode Prize. He testified: “Thanks to the world-class Jury and the media coverage that followed this prize, Coat-X’s reputation has risen sharply. We were able to start the industrialization of our unique technology in the world; which attracted the first investors”.
