04.10.2016 The 8th edition of Start Up Day will be held within the framework of the Forum EPFL, one of the largest recruiting fairs in Switzerland, next week on Wednesday in Lausanne. 79 startups that have registered will set up booths to showcase their products and services as well as meet talented candidates for hire.
The Start-Up Day was established together with the Forum EPFL to cater for the interest of students who desire to join the entrepreneurial world. The Start-Up Day first appeared in 2009 and will this year celebrate its 8th edition on Wednesday, the 12th of October 2016 at the SwissTech Convetion Center.
Stands, presentations and conferences will be held all along the day. Following improvements of the previous years’ Start-Up Day, all registered start-up will benefit from the free-of-charge services offered by the organisers. These among others are; a stand, a page in the Start-up book with a description of the start-up for the students, a networking cocktail at the end of the day. This year 79 start-ups have registered to take part. As such, they will have the opportunity to show case their companies to the visitors and meet talented engineers seeking job vacancies.
Highlights of the programme include: Several presentations of succesful young tech companies like Nexthink and Prezi, a keynote by Fathi Derder and a pitching competition. The full programme has been published on the website of the Forum.
